Facilities
Technical
There are 4 Technicians and a Computing Officer within the Department, providing support and expertise with computing matters, audio/visual and laboratory equipment. The University Information Services also provide valuable assistance with network and other problems above the Department level.
Photocopying
Photocopying is provided free of charge for PhD students, both within the department and at the library. MSc students receive their first 100 copies free of charge, then pay 5p per copy when using the Departmental machine.
Library
The University Library is situated in the centre of the campus, and all students are automatic members. Click here for full details of the facilities offered.
Test Library
There is an extensive range of Mental Tests held by the Department that can be borrowed with the permission of your supervisor. A catalogue of these tests is held in the office.
Telephones and Faxes
All PhD students will have access to a telephone for business calls and fax facilities are located in the main office.
Postage and Stationery
Mail trays are kept in the Departmental Office for staff and postgraduates. External mail can be left in the office for daily pick-up.
Coffee and Tea
The Common Room is equipped with a kettle, microwave, fridge and sink. Coffee and tea are provided by the Department.
